Donors who contribute through the IFP Fiscal Sponsorship will get a donor letter in the mail. We are proud to have IFP as our Fiscal Sponsor. After debuting with a program in the 1979 New York Film Festival, the nonprofit IFP has evolved into the nation's oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers, and also the premier advocate for them. Since its start, IFP has supported the production of 7,000 films and provided resources to more than 20,000 filmmakers--voices that otherwise might not have been heard. IFP believes that independent films enrich the universal language of cinema, seeding the global culture with new ideas, kindling awareness, and fostering activism. The organization has fostered early work by leading filmmakers including Charles Burnett, Edward Burns, Jim Jarmusch, Barbara Kopple, Michael Moore, Mira Nair and Kevin Smith. We Need Your Support!

Currently our project is self-funded through Producer Brian Iglesias’s credit cards and liquidated retirement accounts. Co-Producer Anton Sattler is also using personal savings to fund the project. We are seeking additional financing and have set up tax deductable contributions through fiscal sponsorship with Independent Feature Project (www.ifp.org). We have done much in defense of our country, and we continue to sacrifice to tell the story of the heroes who have gone before us. Ask yourself: are you willing to stand and sacrifice with us?

We are able to complete the NY city-Metro area with the use of personal funds. However, more funding is needed to travel to at least 20 different locations nationwide. We are not asking for much. We are all Marines and we take pride in our ability to live a very Spartan lifestyle. The funding we are requesting is only the amount we absolutely need to get this film completed. We have made great strides already, securing post-production and production equipment, for a total of no less than $37,000 in tangible assets.

We have made strategic decisions that allow us to focus our funds and efforts in the most effective way to accomplish out mission. We will sleep at rest-stops and military bases along the route, using sleeping bags and field gear supplied by the military. Our main meals will be Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), packaged military meals used in the field. A very small budget of 50 dollars a day will provide us with supplemental food. Our means of transportation will be by van, saving thousands of dollars versus flying to over 20 locations.

Your support gives us access to the proper resources to professionally accomplish our mission. This does not include the existing pledges for support. Key costs focus on production resources and operational logistics. As a last resort, a reduction in the availability and quality of production equipment will be required without proper funding.

We have organized radio promotions and press interviews along with several internet sites in order to promote the project. These campaigns will target all potential donors; from the indivdual to Corporate and private sponsorship.
