I am an Army WW II veteran of five campaigns in France, Belgium and Germany.
At age 81, I produced my first documentary, “Let Freedom Ring…The Lesson Is Priceless” and second one at age 82 called, “Let Freedom Ring…Memories Of France.”
These were done with young high school history teachers and combat verterans who served in the Battle of the Bulge in the first documentary and other young teachers and other veterans who served on D-Day in France. I also served in those areas.
These films have been aired by ninety PBS stations and are scheduled to air very soon on Military Channel. One of my films was shown at the G.I. Film Festival.
The purpose of these documentaries is to teach the high cost of freedom and the consequences of losng one’s freedom and then to distribute these DVDs in all of the high schools where I live in California as soon as funds are available.
Funding is also being sought for my proposed third documentary about the Eighth Air Force operations from England in WW II. ..26,000 men killed…more than the Marines in the Pacific Theater. It will be a military/human interest film. Filming of ten veterans of the Mighty Eighth has been done for the documentary.
American Airlines will fund transportation needed to Europe and several domestic cities. Other sponsors are sought.
